Lake Nahuel Huapi is not only the home of Nahuelito, the surrounding forests also conceal the Anchimallén. A mythical creature of Mapuche mythology, these creatures are created from the corpses of children and usually appear as floating, child-sized ghosts that emit a bright light.
Originally regarded as a benign fairy, the Anchimalguén [“sun-maiden” in the Mapuche language] underwent a terrible metamorphosis during the period of Hispanic conquests, morphing into the Anchimallén, creatures of horror with an unsatiable lust for human flesh. The Anchimallén haunt the forests, preying upon the unwarry and the lost.

Wow... This is a veritable Who's Who of Aural Films' heavy hitters. Wonderful concept, though at more than FIVE HOURS long it seems a bit unwieldy. For a timeless milestone on this theme (often used in circle dancing), check out Irene Papas & Vangelis's ODES (1979), the final track, "Menoussis." Paul Asbury Seaman

An excellent tribute to a true master. Jack has obviously been a great student and this project shows how far his work has come over the years. Great job on this, Jack. David Prescott
