Common throughout the folklore of the British Isles, the Stray Sod is usually described as a patch of grass imbued with magical properties, or as a type of fairy with grass-like growth on it's back.

If a traveller steps upon the Sod, they become disoriented and lose their way, no matter how familiar they are with the area. A person under the Stray Sod’s powers will wander in circles or deeper into the wilderness, unable to find their way. The only way for them to break this spell is to remove their clothing and wear it inside out. ut.
